Dealing with a Rough Past

It has been said that we “carry our family of origins around in our back pockets.” What that really means is that we have some dysfunctional things that we think and feel and do because of things that happened to us in our pasts. It leaves us confused and discouraged and feeling helpless to change. God has bigger plans and he can’t wait to help us walk through our lives’ valleys. It won’t necessarily be easy, but Christ is eager to help us to unpack our baggage. Listen in, and get ready for freedom!

  • Verse of the Day

For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:46-48, ESV) (Listen)
