The Bucket List: Anger vs. Mercy
May 4, 2008
One of the ways Satan wants to get a foothold on our heart is to keep us angry and bitter at someone who has wronged us, hurt us, or done us bad. Humility says, God You are in charge and You are in control.
“Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You want something but you don’t get it. You kill and you covet but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and you fight.” - James 4:1

If you are overweight it probably didn’t happen overnight, but little by little. Whether it be with food or any other vice, what we often think of as insignificant can eventually be disastrous. As we seek the Lord and ask for His help in this area He will not fail us, He will give us the strength to overcome excess.
The Bucket List: Envy vs. Gratitude
April 20, 2008
We need to be aware of the things that pull us away from God. Envy is one of them. When you are discontent and envious of others, you are the one who suffers most.
“A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.” Proverbs 14:30
The Bucket List: Lust vs. Self Control
April 13, 2008
Lust can mess up our convictions, our character, and our connections. Lust has the ability to blind us from the truth. The only way to deal with lust is through the virtue of self-control. You must exercise control over your lust or your lust will control you.
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. Teaching us that, denying godliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.” - Titus 2:11-12
The Bucket List: Greed vs Generosity
April 6, 2008
Jesus told an upside-down story that confronts our problem of affluenza. Hear as guest speaker Dr. Mark Scott addresses how to face the challenges of greed, and to live a life that is glorifying to God.
Then he said to them, Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” - Luke 12:15
