Upcoming Mission Trip Opportunities

Are you feeling like the Lord is leading you to go on a Mission Trip in 2010? Have you been feeling the pull for a few years now, yet you just haven’t responded? Maybe this is your year. Plans are shaping up for several mission trips this year. See the dates below and pick up a mission trip application in the lobby starting next weekend. Students 12-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Guest Services Needs You

Are you relatively new to Westbrook and you are looking for a place to serve and to make a valuable contribution to the church you are growing to love? Or maybe you’ve been around a while and you have been dragging your feet in getting plugged in. Whatever the case, the Guest Services team is looking for some new servants to join them. Here’s the ministry needs that we want you to be a part of:

• Greeters
• Ushers
• Servers  (communion and offering)
• Cookie Bakers
• Hospitality Hosts/Hostesses

Break Through Ministries

Break Through Manna Center
Put some feet to your faith and join us on the first Friday of every month as we show the love of Jesus in a practical and tangible way. You’ll get to know others from Westbrook as we partner together with Breakthrough Urban Ministries (an inner city ministry that provides outreach and support for homeless, unemployed men over the age of 22) and feed up to 30 homeless men. This program focuses on both emergency and long-term needs and is designed to help men break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.

Break Through Joshua Center
Like the Manna Center, Breakthrough’s Women’s Services Program provides support for women in crisis. Programming focuses on both emergency and long-term needs and is designed to help women break the cycle of homelessness, abandonment, addictions, domestic violence and abuse. Join us on the first Saturday morning of every month as we show the love of Jesus in a practical and tangible way. You’ll get to know other Westbrookers as we partner together with Breakthrough Urban Ministries and feed up to 30 homeless women.
