I grew up in the metro Detroit area, and it was amazing the segregation in the church. The church I was @ in Amarillo really had a vision to be ethnically diverse; but it was a struggle. The leadership made a decision to stay in the struggling downtown area, when all the other big churches were heading to the 'burbs'. Well, 7 years later and about 500 less in attendance, the church is still committed to reaching out to those in the community...even if they don't look, act, and dress the same. May God continue to bless your ministry as you follow His leading and share His message with everyone He puts in your path. Interesting article.
