Westbrook is full of kind and caring people who help out each week during our Sunday worship service. We have friendly greeters and ushers, communion preparers and servers, cookie bakers, coffee servers and a Resource Center where warm caring people give that personal touch to our Sunday worship service that sets us apart from other churches. We welcome you to be a part of this ministry. Ministry descriptions are listed below.
Server Team Captains
Each Sunday at each service, primary Team Captains are assigned to help oversee the flow of the Worship service, with special consideration and attention to the communion and offering portion of the service. The Team Captain helps facilitate a smooth flow for the service by providing a welcoming atmosphere and friendly assistance to worshippers.
A gracious team of men and women help serve the emblems of the Lord’s Supper and receive the offering each Sunday morning in our weekly services.
Specialty trained ushers are needed each Sunday to help seat people for our worship services. It is our goal to make each and every worshipper feel welcome while at the same time minimizing distractions within the worship hour. In addition to helping seat people, ushers are also used to help set up and tear additional chairs as needed.
Warm, caring and friendly people are needed to join our Greeter ministry. Each Sunday, several greeters are strategically stationed to be able to welcome all who enter Westbrook for worship.
Do you like to bake? Are you able to bake? Fresh homemade cookies have become a welcome mat at Westbrook. Each Sunday dozens of fresh cookies are needed for this great ministry.
The Hospitality time at Westbrook is enjoyed by nearly everyone. Hosts and Hostesses are needed to help provide assistance with this great area. From making coffee to serving cookies this ministry is a natural for many.
Communion Set Up/Tear Down
The Lord’s Supper is a sacrament that Westbrook participates in each Sunday. Servers are needed to help set up and clean communion trays. Time commitment is minimal in this needed area of ministry.
