Music and Worship
Music and worship are a large part of who we are at Westbrook. Our weekend services are filled with contemporary music and worship as an expression of praise to God. We do find that music is a creative gift to communicate to God for who He is and how He works in our lives. Our music and worship ministry is full of opportunities for involvement. Below are descriptions of how your musical gifts can be used in our ministry.
Worship Band
Be a part of a group of talented individuals whose sole purpose is to lead people in praises to God on Sunday Morning and possibly on other occasions.
Worship Vocalists
Join a team of energetic singers whose purpose is to assist the congregation in singing with the Worship Band on Sunday Mornings and possibly on other occasions.
Focus/Communion Meditation
Publicly guide the Focus or Communion segments via well prepared articulated thoughts.
Sound Technician
Be behind the scenes as you set-up, adjust, and control the sound system that will better enable all to hear the Gospel.
Multi-Media Technician
This area requires creativity in the use of Multimedia resources to communicate the gospel and guide the congregation through the worship services
Time Commitment
At Westbrook, we strive for excellence in all we do. In order to facilitate this, we practice regularly whether a musician, singer, or sound technician. We do realize that we are not performing professionally for an audience; however, we exist to worship God the Creator of the Universe! We then realize that we cannot settle for anything less than our best! We are looking for men and women who want to use the talent that God has given them to worship Him. We do not want people’s talent to sit dormant and unused in His Kingdom! Blow off the dust of that instrument and let God use you to lead others in worship.
